Georgia Woodroffe: Co-founder & Joint Editor-in-Chief

As a current Ph.D. student at the University of Exeter, Georgia researches the use of tea culture in literature to explore the exclusion of Chinese Americans culturally, politically, and economically from full participation in the nation-state. She has delivered conference papers on her work, including one on female Caribbean cricket poetry. She also has published numerous articles and interviews, mostly based on animal rights and conversation issues.

Antonym, founded in 2018, is a digital journal that publishes work by academics, artists, journalists, and alternative voices from other fields.

The journal seeks to share a range of ideas and opinions, an ambition aided by our contributors being located around the world. Antonym publishes work based on a chosen topic that changes every three months; our first topic is utopia/dystopia. Each contribution, whether an article, a creative piece, or an artwork, explores the theme in relation to contemporary issues.
